Actor Burn Gorman

Burn Gorman is a British actor and musician.

Full name: Burn Hugh Winchester Gorman.

Born: September 1, 1974, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.

He has dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom.

He is the son of Thomas P. Gorman, a professor of linguistics at UCLA.

He has three older sisters.

He moved to England with his family when he was 7 years old.

He trained at the Manchester School of Theatre at Manchester Metropolitan University.

He has been married to Sarah Beard since July 2004.

He has three children: Rosa, Max Hugh, and Nell.

He is best known for his roles as William Guppy in Bleak House, Owen Harper in Torchwood, and Phillip Stryver in The Dark Knight Rises.

He also played Hermann Gottlieb in Pacific Rim and its sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising; Karl Tanner in Game of Thrones; Major Edmund Hewlett in Turn: Washington's Spies; and Adolphus Murtry in The Expanse.

His debut was in 1998 as Ben Andrews, a cult leader in Coronation Street.

He has won several awards, such as the SFX Award for Best Actor for Torchwood in 2008 and the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television for The Expanse in 2014.

His upcoming movies include Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022), where he will voice the character of The Coachman, and The Sandman (2023), where he will play John Constantine,
